Authenticate extends OtherPay DUO’s security to services still relying on email or SMS one-time passcodes, which can be vulnerable to interception and social engineering. Instead of one-time codes, users gain access only by biometrically unlocking the OtherPay app and activating their physical DUO card, ensuring verified identity and real-time card possession.

Unlike delegated identity providers that authenticate users on a service’s behalf, Authenticate keeps control with the service while replacing OTPs with real-time biometric activation of the user’s physical OtherPay card.

OtherPay’s Digital Trust provides you with a unique means by which to ensure that anyone you’re talking to on the phone that’s purporting to be from OtherPay can be independently verified, protecting you from telephone scams and alleviating the need for complex over the phone authentication.
